Mixed news for global stock market

China govt will increase central bank lending rate by more than 1/4%, in order to slow down the boom of investment from this fast growing economy.

On the other hand, Feb Chief said tonite that they are likely to pause the interest hike very soon.

What would this mixed news bring to the global market ?
For forex market, GBP and EUR jump by weak dollars. Gold fluctuates between $630 - $640, whereas stock is a mix.

HK Stock market drop for the third day, CEI drops 5%

Rumor about China govt will step up macroeconomic controls to rein in growth has resulted in a third day of correction for the hong kong stock market. HKCEI drops 5% today. Biggest contributer are 857, 286, 2628

2899 drops again, today close at $4.225, record high being $4.9
2628 drops also, close at $10.3 but still above $10 which is a good investment for the long run.

will wait for May 1st to come, to confirm what effect the new control will bring to the market.

Gold stock drops with falled Gold price

Last nite gold has dropped 3%, from highest $640 to $608 in a few hours.

The gold stocks 2899, 3330 followed and each dropped about 11%. It was a big loss to me, but generally it is a good and healthy adjustment, though fast.
The RSI of both stocks has been rising to a very high value (80+) recently. The fall today should ease the RSI and is more healthy for further rise.

Gold has managed a gain of $24 to $632 from the bottom $608 last nite. Hopefully next monday 2899 would jump up and recover most of the loss for today.

Gold stock continue to rise, 3330 jumps

Gold keep on rising last nite, and DOW rise by more than 190 points.

HSI has once makin 17000 during the pre-market session. Finally rise by 190 points, and CEI rise by 99 points.

3330 makes a great jump today by 20%, whereas my 2899 is only making 5%. Anyway, 2899 has risen too much this few months. It has already doubled the price in 2 months' time. It is reasonable for a rest.

2628 does not have a brilliant annual report, but the good market atmosphere helps it to recover from its loss in the morning session and close a bit higher.

My stock portfolio keep rising everyday, but I start to worry about it now. I really dunno when is the prime time to retreat...

Gold surges on weak US Dollar

DOW rises by more than 190 points yesterday, and most of the commodity futures made its new high too.

Gold price is unstoppable, yesterday spot gold is just $618, today it adds another $9 to $627, continue to break the 25 years record high.

US govt has 負債 of 8450B in 1980, where Gold made its record high $850. Now in 2006, US govt has 負債 of 84000B, plus the demand of Gold keep increasing from China and India, the rise of Gold is potentially far beyond that value.

Gold keep rising neglect the servere overbought in TA. The problem is when everyone lost confidence in US dollar, they will turn to sell dollars and buy gold, which then helps supporting its high price.

Today is the first day of 2899 issued 10 new shares per 10 shares. That means the total volume of shares doubled and stock price halved.

It was the third time after #2899 has done this trick. Every time the price was halved, it got fried up significantly. I have no clue about this time if the stock price would still up, since it has been at a record high already.

Price started slightly lowered at $3.4 with dividend deducted. Then suddenly rise by 10% to $3.8, $3.9, $4... then jump to $4.2, $4.4, $4.5, which is +25% at that price !! This was a terrible increase and I was so astonished about that, since the market (HSI, CEI) was generally not good and both index dropped by >100pts.

2899 was not able to stand at that unreasonable price and drop back to $4 (+15%) during lunch, and close even lower at $3.675 (+5% only). The difference has been 20%, which is a huge amount !! My mum phoned and asked me during lunch if it was good to buy 2899 at current price ($4). I said no, though I dont plan to sell my shares yet. Even if it drops in the future, I will only earn less, but if she buy now and it drops, she would be lossing instead.

Fortunately, my mum didn't buy at last. Otherwise she would be blaming me !! ^.^

Car stock surges, 1114 rises over 20% today, and 203 rise to $3.6
Im a bit sad for I miss the chance to buy in 203 at $3, otherwise it already has 20% increase ! >.<
Merging of MTR and KCR would be a great news to #66, my friend said it may rise 20% tomorrow. Lets see how high it could reach !!

Hang Seng Index becomes a crazy horse

Hang Seng Index rise 311 pts, CEI rise 109 pts today. Turnover is a record high 456B.

388 rise 10%, 2899 rise 6%, 857, 386 rise neglect the negative news of china government charging 暴利稅. The rise is all over, but without a good supporting reason.

Gold is reaching USD $600, now around $595. I expect #2899 should reach $7 very soon, chasing #358 (now $7.2).

Generally all stocks has risen to a quite expensive level. I have some cash on hand but really have no idea & guts to buy any more stocks. On the other side, Im considering buying EUR or sugar related stocks. Im sure US dollar will turn weak by the end of the year, buying EUR is a good bet, heading $1.3 in the long run.

WarrenBuffet's $14B bet on the global stock market

Today's biggest news is no doubt about WarrenBuffet's bet.

Buffett's Berkshire Hathaway (Research) has sold clients insurance protection against a drop in four equity indices. The contract last for 15 - 20 years. If the stock market index drop by 30%, he would be lossing $900 million to his clients.

Now it has has come to the point it is very hard to find good stocks that are under-value. Buffet is well-known for extracting and investing on these stocks. He has invested in 857.HK, buy in around $2-$3, price now ? over $8 already. Stocks often will increase by times after he has bought in, partly revealing the real potential of the stock and partly a star effect where small investers tends to follow him.

But since last year, buffet has started to sell US dollar, but last year USD has been strong most of the time. This is a small dust in his legend. But who knows, in the long run, I also believe USD would turns weak after the interest hike has ended.

There was a guy in newsgroup predicting the rise of HK stock market this week, based on the "opposite theory" (相反理論) as most guys believe the market would drop in the second quarter. If most people think this way, the market would go in the opposite side.

His first bet was right for today, though he guessed HSI would drop at first. HSI ends up with +250, breaking 16000 finally.

My Gold stock runs fast again, with another 9.8% gain in a single day. I was too surprise to see that, sometimes even dont want it to rise so fast !!

The guy continued to predict the whole week was an rising week until next week, when everyone thinks the market will continue to rise. Lets see if he is correct ~~

When I have money in my stock account, Im always too itchy to buy stocks.
Im starring to buy 203. Some transactions done at this level, so I queued at $3 together with 240 other "friends". But finally it was not successful.

Today is first day on market for 2626 (湖南有色), this stock is doing 稀有金屬 and is a leader in its market. The future seems bright, but I dunno it is worth buying at current price ($2.85). I guess it can see $3, afterwards unpredictable.

Good results, Gold surge and upgraded review by brokers all support 2899 to raise further. It goes up another $0.5 (8%) today and reach $6.1 today.

Dad ask me when will I sell my stock, I said I dunno, would wait until Gold sees USD $600. A month ago, he kept saying Im stupid not to sell 2899 when its $5.x, at that time the stock price has dropped to around $4.5 followed by the Gold adjustment. Now Im happy to show him Im not stupid, haha.

Gold has been up and down at the $540 - $560 for a long time, 2 tops has formed at $574 already. I was worried whether it will formed a 3rd top this time, but it has surprised me and keep going up and break $574 this time with ease. Next target, $700 ? Im really not sure...

So much good news supporting the price of 2899, and many brokers set the target price up to $6.x or even $7.0. I bought this stock at $6.65 years ago, now it is coming home, after 2 times of 1 into 2 split up... hor hor hor

Just kidding... but today is a great day for my stocks.

The Gold mine stock 2899 just announced a beautiful annual report, increased a little interest giveout, and 10 plus 10 new stocks issued. That means the overall stock inventory would be doubled while stock price halved. This had happened to 2899 twice already. The smaller price it is, the easier it is to fry up !

Also with the help of the bull run of Gold at recent days, 2899 climbed +9.8% to history high of $5.6. After a few weeks of rest, Gold decide to surge again from $550 to $586 in just half a week ! My prediction of Gold reaching $600 is very likely to happen very soon. Im so happy about it, and decide to buy something as gift for myself. Then I went to computer center afterwork and bought a cheap wireless router at $255.

hahahahhaha !!!! Im young god of stock !

Dropping day

Today is a dropping day. DOW dropped by 95 points last nite, Asian markets followed and drop significantly. But Japan nikkei bounce back and gonna test 17,000 very soon.

2628 drops by 2% to $9.85. 中壽股東配股套現近10億港元 @ $9.75-$9.85. It is a small amount with 0-1% discount only. Hopefully it would not be affected. On the other hand if the price can keep above 配股價, it would be a good supporting line in the future.

Gold drops back during Asian market section back to $560. Gold stock 2899 drops to day low $4.925 and rebound to close at $5.1.
Annual report announced with +68.5% increase, and $0.08 interest. Personally Im not very satisfied with the interest. But the stock price has 200% increase this year already. Who cares about the interest when compared to the stock profit that it brings !

Gold price testing year high of $574 again. If success, test $600 line, otherwise, triple top confirmed and another decline would be coming, or running in a narrow range of $540 - $560 again.

HSI rised because of the surge of #941. It has broken $40 and close at $40.7 today.
But CEI drops 42 pts on the other hand. Luckily, my major stock still performs great.
2628 added another $0.15 today, close at $10.15
2899 added another $0.1 too, close at $5.15

It is always wise to buy on stock but not buy on index. You can only bet on index using warrants, futures or options. All of them are very risky products. I have tried all of them and ended up with a big loss. The lesson tells me to avoid them and never touch them again. Remember, it is gambling, not investment.

Invest on stocks seems less profitable and need more patence, but if you choose the right one and wait, the reward is often double or triple !

Gold price keep rising these 2 days, from $550 last Friday to $565 today.
Time for 2899 to catch up and climb to a new high... gogogo !!
2628 has already reached my target price ($10), still tends to go upwards.
I shall set a cut win price and let it flies to the sky!
